Island Hearing offers a Wealth of Opportunity
The
paid professional fees (BHADC, CASLPA) saves me money; by
paying my fees, Island Hearing makes me feel they
want to keep me and recognize that I have something to offer
them.
- Leigh
Humen M.S.C.D. Aud (C)
I
have been here a long time. Island Hearing chose
me, trained me and gave me a great opportunity. If I had
to pick one feature it would be the on going education
with no exception.
- Gloria
Barr BC-HIS
Since
joining Island Hearing in 1994 I have enjoyed the
challenge of being a Clinical Audiologist, a Branch Manager,
and the Director of Audiology. I have experienced the benefits
of working with a team of professionals who work with you
and take the time to 'teach' along the way. It’s a pleasure
working with a company that strives for excellence in performance
and in culture.
- Monica
Pozer M.Sc. Aud (C), Director of Audiology
As
a Branch Manager I enjoyed learning on the job how to run my own
clinic, meshing my new ideas with company expertise to improve
daily service to my clients. I learned how to grow the business as though
it were my own, without the risks of owning a business! Now as Regional
Manager the coaching and training have continued. I’m given the responsibility
and trust to speak up to influence the company’s direction, work
with a dynamic team to improve day to day operations, while still
enjoying the excitement of setting myself new challenges.
- Margret
Orme M.Sc. Aud (C)
We
are the advanced systems and hearing aid company. We get the first
crack at new technologies, and have the resources to run trials and
evaluate new products. IHS has a culture of quality and service,
striving to be the best in the business.
- Michael
Higgins BC-HIS
The
fact that IHS has so many locations in BC, allows for the
opportunity to transfer to a not so far away area if such
an opportunity should arise. For those not from BC....why
wouldn't you want to live here? We have the best climate,
not too hot or cold...we have so many outdoor activities
that can be done all year round, we have the best skiing,
mountain biking, hiking etc. All in all, the quality of
life is very good here.
- Maybelle
Santos M.Sc. Aud (C)
Island Hearing is a well-grounded company and treats its employees
fairly. Why come to the island? It is a great place to live
and work. You will find the owners of the company more than
fair to deal with and they will always try to take your work
and personal life to heart. They care and you will find as a
company all the employees care about one another.
-
Leslie McVicar BC-HIS
The
main reasons why I joined Island Hearing are
that: 1) I really like living on Vancouver Island (I enjoy
the
outdoor recreational activities that it has to offer,
the cost of living here is cheaper;) 2) the integrity of the
company; 3) the fact that I could come into a managerial
position with less than one year's experience and am
able
to take advantage of a manager's salary and benefits,
like the pension plan.
